photoblog image Full moon

Full moon

Last night I've tested my Sigma 2x converter with my Sigma 50-500 lens to see how they will perform in low light conditions. Firstly it's quite tricky using this combination - the slightest movement results in a blur. ( Anything slower than 40th of a second - and the movement of THE MOON will cause a blur effect ! ) The mirror lock up function is a must ! It's a bit difficult using the manual focus with so little light  - but with a bit of practice one gets lucky now and then ! This one was at full zoom - 1000mm.

you can see each of her individual craters! i like the colour. is that the moons natural colour zoomed in? or just that particular night? ~s.
Ferdi Bravenboer: Thank you Sara. It was very cloudy - so I'm not sure if it might have something to do with the colours or reflections of some sort of way. Thank you for the visit !

Every now and then you have a moon shot and yes this is the best by far. Thanks for including the pointers. The new template is also brilliant in presenting this shot.

Excellent and I'll join the likey club here.
Ferdi Bravenboer: Thank you Louis for the compliment. I do agree with u regarding the new template - it definitely helps !
